Asian Americans on front lines fight coronavirus and racism

Two new videos are out from two different campaigns spotlighting the racism faced by Asian Americans.

The first video from BeCool2Asians features Asian American health workers, grocery clerks and emergency service personnel -all those on the front lines who risk their lives everyday to provide essential services to all of us- condemning the rise in racism and xenophobia against Asian Americans.

Its simple message: BeCool2Asians.

The second video comes from another campaign highlighted on AsAmNews, #RacismIsaVirus.

We must not empower racists, the video states. “Now people are fighting back in their own ways.”

These videos spread a message of love, unity and respect. They do little to stop racist who will be racist, but they speak to the vast majority of Americans and bring awareness to a group that often can be invisible-Asian Americans.
