Video: Talented Korean American student composer organizes virtual orchestra piece in honor of George Floyd

The brutal death of George Floyd devastated Thomas Yeum.

The killing empowered the 19-year-old Korean American to fight for change.

Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, Yeum decided to write Luctor et Emergo; which is I struggle then emerge in Latin.

To foster hope and further societal change, Yeum organized a virtual orchestra of 34 talented musicians dedicated to George Floyd. 

AsAmNews captured an exclusive interview with Yeum and some virtual orchestra members to hear how they brought hope in tough times through music.
