America’s Got Talent Finalist back in action

Thirteen years ago, the voice of Karen Lo graced the stages of America’s Got Talent as a finalist.  While she didn’t win, she was able to attract the interest of a major label and subsequently spent a few years working on her craft.

After the glow of America’s Got Talent faded, Lo worked with a couple of producers behind the scenes.  She recorded an album with one and to her surprise, once again found herself in the spotlight.

A subsequent submission of the album to the Grammy Awards and Lo was under consideration with a pre-nomination for the Grammys in 2017.  Even though the pre-nomination did not elicit an actual nomination for a Grammy, Lo was invited to attend the Grammys.

“It was a cool experience,” she stated, and it also earned her a Grammy Plaque which can be found hanging in her living room.

After being signed to the BMG record labels, now owned by Sony, according to Lo, she found herself recording with Freedom Williams, one of the singer-songwriters from the C&C Music Factory where they did a remake together of a C&C Music Factory song called Gonna Make You Sweat

Currently, Lo has released two more songs, which you can find on all the streaming platforms.  Lo, however, is itching to get back on stage and get back to touring.  Said Lo in referring to being locked-up during the pandemic, “I just want this to hurry up and pass by!”
