UPDATED: Man arrested after missing teen found in home

The Alameda County District Attorney’s officers has moved ahead with formal charges against a 25-year old man accused of statutory rape.

Authorities say Lovepreet Singh has been formally charged with both statutory rape and arranging a sexual meeting with a minor.

The family reported their 15-year old daughter missing on July 20th. After an extensive investigation, police learned she might be at the home of a Stockton man.

Authorities obtained a search warrant and found the girl at the home. Police promptly arrested Singh.

Because of the girl’s age, AsAmNews is not releasing the her name, but she has an Indonesian surname.
