“Global Connect: LIVE TOGETHER,” a global campaign developed to combat racism released a music video today. It has garnered over 400,000 views so far.
The music video is an acapella rendition of Disney’s “Colors of the Wind” sung by Maytree, an incredibly popular South Korean acapella group, and Ko Yeong Yeol, the Korean traditional singer. Puuung, a popular illustrator and animator, illustrated the music video. The video itself includes messages from the Asian American community.
South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and UNESCO collaborated to create the anti-racism campaign. The campaign launched the #LiveTogetherChallenge on Instagram in the build-up to the music video’s release. It encouraged people around the world to post a picture of themselves with the #LiveTogether logo.
