By Randall Yip, AsAmNews Editor

Daniel Dae Kim is one proud father.

He posted a photo of himself and his oldest son Zander on a production set with the caption: “When you get to work with your son and be on set with him for his first day as a professional actor.”

More than 1500 people have commented on the heartwarming photo on Facebook.

Numerous people discussed how handsome the two looked.

Others mentioned how Zander appears to be following the footsteps of his famous dad.

Others wished both the best.

“Awesome Son And Dad – all the very best to you in your professional career. Good time for Asians today then it was so difficult, back then , when your dad was starting out !” said one.

It’s unclear what show or film the two are working on together.

The veteran actor is part of several TV series. He plays Dr. Cassian Shin on The New Amsterdam on NBC and will play the voice of David on the new animated series, Pantheon, on AMC.

He also serves as executive producer on The Good Doctor on ABC.

Zander graduated from Brown University in 2019 with degrees in computer science and literary arts. According to his website, he has most recently worked in the publishing industry for Black Dog & Leventhal at Hachette Book Group, which publishes nonfiction illustrated books on topics like basketball, dogs, and Schitt’s Creek.

He also volunteers for Gold House and represents artists working with the Speakeasy Project.

He is the oldest of two children of Daniel and Mia Kim. His brother’s name is Jackson.
