Leah Lewis, star of the Netflix original movie The Half of It, has joined the cast of “Matlock,” Deadline reports. The show will also star Kathy Bates, Skye P. Marshall and David Del Rio.
“Matlock” is a fresh take on the old series of the same name starring Andy Griffith. The CBS legal drama follows Billy (Del Rio), a charismatic young lawyer who will take on some of the biggest cases at the firm he works for. Lewis will play Sarah, a junior associate who is eager to prove herself.
Lewis tweeted about her excitement to work on the series with Kathy Bates.
“I am pinching myself and I am so honored to be a part of this project,” she wrote.
