Variety has learned exclusively that Simu Liu is set to host the 21st Unforgettable Gala, a night that honors Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the entertainment industry.
The black-tie gala will be held on December 16 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. This is the second time Liu will host.
“Unforgettable is one of my favorite events of the year, and I’m excited to return to emcee and celebrate with all the incredible talent in the room,” said Liu, according to Variety. “Despite a challenging year for the entertainment industry, Asian creatives in Hollywood are more resilient than ever, and we’ll continue to push forward for more representation.”
The Marvel star is no stranger to hosting. He has emceed the Juno Awards, a music awards show in Canada, twice.
Over the past few months, Liu has been busy launching his music career. He released his debut EP Anxious-Avoidant in November. On Wednesday, December 6, he dropped the music video for his song “warm.”
