It was not long ago when anything but pizza was considered weird, exotic, or simply gross. But change is afoot. Thanks to social media and the rise of celebrity chefs, people are increasingly open to diverse cuisines from around the world. Now let’s make it so kids don’t get teased for bringing birria tacos, chicken kahari, dukkboki, and soup dumplings as school lunches.
Martin and Rich Lee are second generation Korean American brothers. Martin is a retired elementary school teacher and the illustrator of the strip. Rich is a professor of psychology in Asian American studies at the University of Minnesota and writes the content.
