A study by the Institution of Asian American Health at UMass finds there’s not enough data on Asian Americans to make a difference in combating the high disparities the community faces in Hep B & diabetes cases. The excuse health professionals give is that its too expensive to study Asian Americans, as if #AAPIs don’t matter. Imagine if they said that about people with AIDS. About 1.2 million people live with AIDS in the United States, about the same number of Asian Americans living with Hep B.
