Private wedding photos from a lesbian couple involving an Indian American and white women have gone viral on the internet, according to Buzz Feed. Shannon and Seema met each other while Shannon was teaching her exercise class. Shannon said she knew right then and there that Seema was the one for her.
Six years later, the two got married in a small ceremony in California last month. Seema wanted a traditional North Indian wedding ceremony complete with a traditional temple and stage known as a mandap.
Shannon wore a gorgeous flowing white gown and wanted to practice all the traditions of an American wedding.
“So our idea of our wedding was to mend our two cultures, two families and the two of us together for eternity,” Shannon wrote.
Unbeknownst to them, and without their permission, photos from their wedding were shared by countless people and seen all over the world.
