A report from the Council on American Islamic Relations has found 1 out of 5 Muslim teens are bullied because of their religion, according to ABC7/KGO.
Sometimes the bullying involves a teacher.
“Everyone was chatting and then my teacher just turns to me and she’s like, ‘If you don’t stop talking, I’m going to rip that thing off your head.’ in an apparent reference to the student’s head scarf or hijab said Fatima Abdo, 15. “And then the whole class was so silent and shocked. They all gasped.”
