A Toronto nightclub is vowing to take action against employees who posted now-deleted offensive images after an Asian-themed night inspired by Stir Fry, a rap song by the Atlanta-based group, Migos, reports City News.

The employees, however, say they are being scapegoated and only did what they were told.

WildflowerSocial media posts showed employees of Wildflower, a nightclub in the upscale Thompson Hotel, wearing cone hats and outfits and making stereotypical gestures about Asians.

Wildflower issued a statement saying “We demonstrated poor judgement and we certainly lacked sensitivity … The event was conceptualized and themed after a popular song and was executed without thinking carefully of the repercussions … On behalf of Wildflower, we are sorry and regret our actions.”

The statement was issued after several false starts in which the nightclub pointed the finger at its workers.

That set off a backlash against the hotel for passing the buck.

“I did not pick this theme, you think I wanted to dress like that?” wrote the server, according to Blog To.

“No. I was told to. I posted this photo because it was a cute picture of me and my friend. I’m sorry you were offended, hence why it was taken down.”
