Emotions remain high over Trump’s policy of separating families.
A small group of young men approached Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as he walked out of a building at Georgetown University outside the nation’s capital.
McConnell was accompanied by his wife, Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao.
“Why are you separating families,” one man repeatedly asked McConnell.
“Why don’t you leave my husband alone,” Chao responded as she got into the man’s face.
“I’m not trying to disrespect you, but why are you trying to separate families.”
“He’s not,” said Chao.
“Back up, back up,” said a member of McConnell’s security team, as she got between the protestors and Chao.
Chao was rushed into a waiting SUV as she pointed her finger at the men.
“How does he sleep at night, how does he sleep at night,” the man responded.
The video has been seen more than 2 million times.
