MSNBC Anchor Richard Lui And Republican Representative Clash Over The Wall

Richard Lui clashes with Matt Gaetz

MSNBC anchor Richard Lui and U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz engaged in an on-air back and forth over the Mexico-U.S. border wall.

During an interview on MSNBC, the two individuals’ discussion turned towards “President Donald Trump’s government shutdown over funding for a border wall,” according to The Raw Story.

The disagreement began when Gaetz commented that “Democrats are saying that walls are racist.” Lui replied, “Well, they’re not saying that. They’re not saying they’re racist.” The two individuals argued back and forth for 40 seconds, after which Lui stated “I don’t want to litigate that right now,” before moving onto another question.

A video of the exchange can be viewed on The Raw Story. Gaetz has tweeted a different part of the interview where he emphasizes the Wall is not about money, but border security. Lui has not yet said anything on social media about the interview yet.
