Aziz Ansari returning for Master of None after 4 years

Master of None is reportedly returning after a four year hiatus.

Chortle reported exclusively that season 3 is being shot in London. The program hasn’t been on the air since Ansari became entangled in a sexual misconduct scandal four years ago.

He denied the allegations, but said in a Netflix special in 2019 that he felt terrible “that  that this person felt this way,” Ansari told the audience. “And after a year or so, I just hope it was a step forward.”

Netflix declined to confirm the report, but had previously said they would like to bring the series back when Ansari was ready.

According to NME, shooting actually began before the Spring, but the pandemic forced the end to that.

Chortle also reports actress  Naomi Ackie who will portray Whitney Houston in the upcoming biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, will join the cast as a love interest.

While keeping a low profile since the allegations, Ansari has been spotted doing stand up around the country. Netflix aired his stand up special in 2019 without any real controversy.

What do you think? Are you ready to see Ansari’s return in Master of None?
