Thousands of spectators lined up and down Fifth Avenue to remember and honor veterans in New York’s Saturday’s parade.
Over 20,000 participants from around the nation marched in the 104th annual parade that commemorates all those that served in the military.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said at the start of the parade, “You respond to the call of duty. I’m proud to walk down Fifth Avenue with you and state that we are who we are because of who you are. This country owes you a debt of gratitude and we must always stand with you side by side as you adorn your military uniform and fight battles across the globe.”
Several Asian American veterans and current military personnel took part.
