In a recent interview, Manny Pacquiao hinted at a possible rematch with rival Floyd Mayweather in 2024.
According to ABS-CBN, Pacquiao made the comments during an appearance at Rizin 45 in Japan on Saturday, December 30. In a video posted to social media, Rizin chief executive Nobuyuki Sakakibara asks Pacquiao, “Can you please fight Floyd Mayweather next year?”
“Thank you so much for inviting me here again,” Pacquiao replied, according to Yahoo Sports. “I’m sorry for the last time that we promised we were going to fight this year, but like Sakakibara explained, this year I will see you here in Japan again with a big fight against Floyd Mayweather. I’m excited for that. Thank you for all the support in Rizin, and thank you Sakakibara.”
No further details about a potential fight have been released.
