NBC: Filipino Americans come together for typhoon victims in the Philippines

CATEGORIES

Super Typhoon Haiyan

From San Francisco to New Jersey, Filipino Americans are coming together for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Filipino Americans make up the second largest Asian group in the United States. They are holding everything from walkathons to food drives to assist those hardest hit by the disaster.

Some estimate that at least 10,000 people have died in the typhoon. Rescuers are having trouble getting to remote areas, so the exact count may not be immediately known.

You can see more of the efforts in the Filipino American community in the video above from NBC.
