An Indian American in Richardson, Texas near Dallas is facing manslaughter charges after shooting and killing his friend while playing a game of Russian roulette, reports NDTV.
27-year-old Vikram Virk confessed to firing the shot killing 18-year-old Jaskaran Singh.
The two took turns pulling the trigger, but the gun did not discharge until Virk pulled the trigger a second time, striking Singh in the face.
Virk rushed Singh to the hospital where he died. Police said Virk originally told them that Singh shot himself, but later admitted firing the fatal shot.
Virk said he mistakenly thought the gun had been emptied when he began playing the game.
