Vanessa Hudgens will go back to her musical roots Sunday and host the Billboard Music Awards from Las Vegas with four time host Ludacris.
Hudgens is confident that being with a veteran host will make her job that much easier.
I’m super excited,” she said to Ludacris. “The fact that you’ve been doing this for a while. I feel like I’m in good hands. The performances are going to blow me away.”
Among the scheduled performers are Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion, Drake, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Sam Hunt, John Legend, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Julia Michaels, Nicki Minaj with Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta, Ed Sheeran and Cher.
“You’re going to be able to expect two of the biggest divas in the music industry, said Hudgens. “The fact that we have both Cher and Celine performing, I die. I’m expecting to be starstruck. I’ve never met Celine Dion. She’s the reason why I started singing. I think when I finally meet her, I’m going to try to not faint.”
Celine Dion is expected to mark the 20th anniversary of Titanic in a special performance.
“I’m looking forward to Bruno Mars. I think he always brings it,” said Ludacris. “I agree with her, man, Cher and the fact that Celine Dion is here. The energy in the building is already going to be out of control.”
The show will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. EDT, 5 p.m. PDT on ABC.
