President Trump reportedly became fixated over the ethnicity of an Asian American intelligence analyst following a recent meeting.
According to NBC, the woman is an expert on hostage negotiations and had just briefed the President on the pending release of a family being held in Pakistan.
Two officials at the meeting said the president asked her “Where are you from?”
“New York,” she replied.
Trump asked again, “Where are you from?”
The President persisted. “Your people.”
The analyst who has not been identified revealed her parents are from Korea.
Trump then turned to an aide and asked why the “pretty Korean lady” isn’t negotiating with North Korea.
The exchange became public on the same day the administration was dealing with the fallout over comments about “sh*thole countries” and his preference for more immigrants from such places as Norway.
