Fans of actor Scott Disick are coming to his defense after he posted a picture on Instagram of his daughter Penelope pulling her eyes up at an Asian restaurant.
The photo up since yesterday has 800,000 likes with an overwhelming majority of people calling the girl “adorable” and dismissing critics who called the gesture racist.
“I’m not Asian, but I find this to be very racist,” commented Sarah_Nads23. “The child may not be aware of the consequences of her actions, but Scott should have corrected or scolded her for her bad/inappropriate behavior. The nerve to keep this photo is really disgusting and disrespectful to the Asian community.”
Those who defend the photo seem to be deflecting criticism away from Disick, who fathered Penelope with his now ex, Kourtney Kardashian, and instead accusing others of labeling a six year old racist.

Others point out that she is pulling her eyes up, and not sideways.
Unfortunately, others resorted to racism to contend that Disick is not racist.
“STFU, Ching Chong,” wrote kxvg.brandon.
“She jyst (sic) think japanwse (sic) or asian need bigger eyes,” said Barraxudaz.
Amidst the racist comments, were some common sense ones.
“I wish whites will stop telling others races to not be offended, when they’re being offensive!! In a sushi restaurant making slanted eye gestures!!” exclaimed york_goldworth.
