NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson may be in the playoffs right now, but he still found the time to come to the rescue of a food truck owner.
CBS News reports that the Filipino American Utah Jazz star purchased a new wrap Monday to cover the racist graffiti spray painted onto the Yum Yum Food Truck in Layton outside Salt Lake City.
“It hurt me deeply to see that Salt Lake’s @yumyamasian food truck was recently vandalized. I know the pain that hateful language and racism causes.
Republic World reports that Layton Mayor Joy Petro and a handful of members of the city council also chipped in for the restoration of the truck.
Yum Yum Food Truck says it will celebrate the unveiling at the Philippine Independence Day celebration this Saturday in Salt Lake.
Clarkson’s father is African American and his mother is half Filipino.
