Variety reports that Vanessa Hudgens is joining the cast of a new superhero comedy set in the DC Comic universe on NBC.
The starring role in Powerless will feature Hudgens as an insurance agent who becomes increasingly frustrated at the antics of the superheroes surrounding her.
It will be Hudgens first role on series television. Her previous work has been in films. She rose to fame in Disney’s High School Musical which spanwed two sequels.
