Pakistani Am actress confirms account hack, denies death rumors

Pakistani American actress and model Saeeda Imtiaz’s official Instagram account posted that she was found dead in her room on Tuesday morning, accompanied by a black-and-white image of her and a block of text. Saeeda was born in the UAE and grew up in New York.

It turned out to be a lie-the apparent work of a hacker.

The post on her Ins account said “With a heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you that Saida Imtiaz passed away this morning as she was found dead in her room. Rest in peace (sic).” The note was signed “Admin”, according to the Khaleej Times.

After the news was posted, fans were shocked and expressed their grief on Twitter. Some wrote “May her soul rest in peace” while others expressed their disbelief with phrases such as “shocking, tragic news”.

Saeeda later made a surprising revelation that she is alive and well after her Instagram account was hacked and false statement was made about her death. She shared a video and expressed her confusion about why someone would do such a thing and mentioned the incident left her in a state of shock.

“After all that I went through, I’m drained out at the moment”, she said in the video.

According to the Pakistan Observer, Saeeda’s manager and legal advisor Mian Shahbaz Ahmed stated that those responsible for hacking Saeeda’s social media accounts and spreading false news would be held legally accountable. He mentioned that they will look into the issue and conduct an investigation.
