Blackpink’s Jennie recently announced that she is starting her own label.
According to Billboard, the artist announced on Christmas Eve that she had launched a label and company called OA.
“Hi, this is Jennie. This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received,” Jennie wrote on her Instagram Story, according to Billboard. “I’m also about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course BLACKPINK. Thank you.”
OA stands for Odd Atelier. According to Variety, Jennie appears to be focusing on new products first as opposed to new recordings. She shared several OA-branded hoodies during her Instagram announcement.
Forbes noted that the company presents several different opportunities for Jennie. She could use the “label” to explore her solo music career or venture into the fashion industry.
